Meet the Owl in the Oak

Hello and welcome.

My name is Sarah. I am the face behind Owl & Oak.
Most of my life I've had a passion and excitement for nature. For all things earthy. I've had a curiosity that has never waned and I've been fortunate enough to harness the inspiration from that curiosity to be able to create through poetry, stories, painting and much more.
The world around us has so much to offer. So much of it we miss or do not notice when we are tied up with being adults in a modern society and all the responsibilities that come with it.
I follow a deeply connected Pagan path. My spirituality encompasses and explores nature. The Earth, the cycles of life, time, seasons. The Moon and all her splendour. The old ways, history and learning.
Metaphysical offerings from the earth amaze me. The energy within them, the patience they embody as they form and grow over millions of years. I marvel at their beauty and respectfully admire. My admiration and respect has allowed me to meet others who are alike. We've have together created a community. A space in which we can pause, reflect and see the beauty in the world through connecting. Connecting with each other and connecting with nature.
I live in Cornwall with my wonderful family and being in such a beautiful place allows me so much more opportunity to calm, find time and notice.
My dream is to share. It is to enjoy. To learn from others and to pass on knowledge. To connect. To allow others the safety to connect. To remind ourselves that it's ok to stop, bathe in and accept the love and light all around us.
Please take a look around. You will find magic scattered throughout from all corners of the world. Magic I have carefully and lovingly sourced. Magic, I hope you too enjoy.
I wait here
I wait for her to come
Resting my taloned feet upon the mighty Oak
I hear her song in the distance
Through the swaying of the branches in the gentle summer breeze
Carried by the waving leaves as the gently pass her song to me
Under the glow of the Moon my feathers glowing white
The fates have woven, we are destined to meet on this cold and frosty night
When she reaches the foot of the mighty Oak tree
When hope carries her no more
Our eyes meeting across the forest floor
With her I am then and, forevermore.
